So cute. But besides that, it's really nice. Seeing their relationship grow over time was so charming and I really fell in love with the two. >_< Oh, and this is very light on the action (I've seriously seen 16+ yaoi manga more graphic than this) so if you're looking for hardcore, this isn't for you. It can become a little too sweet at times, and I'm a lover of sweet yaoi, so for me to say this is big. I just loved this story.
But over time, I got passed it and loved how Kita was this rather emotionless and the cool type, while Naruse was cute and gullible. Plus I liked all the titles.Alcohol, Shirt and Kiss, Criminal, Girlfriend, and Proposal.gah. It's starts out as quite a strange situation (okay, really strange), but morphs into this sweet romance. Not to spoil anything, but whenever the words "Let's become one" are in yaoi, it kinda triggers my gag reflexes. (Kita and Naruse's relationship is kind of slow moving.). The fact that Kita lies to his coworker, Naruse, by telling him they slept together starts Kita off as kind of a jerk.
However, this manga isn't perfect.
If you are a fan of yaoi, it'd definitely make you squeal like the fangirl you are. The entire book is beautifully drawn with an very appealing art style. It'd definitely worth buying. This is one of the cutest and sweetest soft core yaoi manga I've read. The story is very well written (interesting with no lame plots like a lot of the yaoi manga have) and the characters are well developed and all have distinct and very interesting personalities.
so I just quit reading it. Halfway through I didn't care about the characters or the story. Well, I don't know if it is the worst manga ever, but it just seemed. it just wasn't compelling.
And it takes the whole book for them to do the deed. Sadly, this book didn't deliver. Where to begin. If you can get past one of the main characters taking advantage of the other one by lying and saying they slept together, as well as their coworkers being aware of the deception and just letting it play out rather than intervene, then maybe you'll like this book. Sorry if there were too many spoilers, but if the plot's absurd that there should at least be some hot and heavy action. Try Close the Last Door and skip this one. But chances are you'll expect some kind of transformation from the characters, which doesn't seem to happen until maybe the end of the book. The book supposedly spans a year of the characters dating, yet the main character still can't come to grips with the fact that he's attracted to a guy.
The story consists of 9 chapters, the title of each chapter aptly describing its contents in 3 words. Naru is the endearing uke who gradually becomes more demanding and Kita the cool seme does have a vulnerable side which balances their relationship and makes it more realistic. Sounds like Fake.
The side characters of their 3 police colleagues are quite solid, each one having his/her said in the 2 guys' relationship, which add to the fun. The artwork is decent and the caricartures certainly add to the enjoyment of the story. As for the couple, they are very likable.
This soft core Yaoi traces the relationship development between 2 police officers. The plot focusing on their relationship is engaging, at times hilarious, sometimes disarmingly sweet and those of us into romance certainly appreciate the emotions build-up. A very good read indeed.
Definitely but on the love and without the police actions and it is not a series. Alcohol, Shirt and Kiss is the first chapter's title and these same 3 words are just how it all started for Naru and Kita.
